    I want the Mini 9 in time for Christmas, when should I order?

    I want to order the Mini 9 for my girlfriend but I want to make sure it will be here by Christmas. I know Dell delays shipping all the time, especially around the holidays. Is Early/Mid Nov a good time to order?

    ESD's can't be to closely predicted. It could be from 1 week to 2 months.
    Just order now and hide it.

    let's see... the way my experience has gone? You want it by Christmas? Order it yesterday!!!!!


    I ordered on Sept 12 and I still haven't received them. Estimated shipping is still three weeks away.

    Aww I'm sure you can find a good hiding place for it.
    It doesn't need to be at your home anyways. Keep it at a trusted friends house for example me I'll keep it for ya :p

    Ship it to work, that's what I usually do for stuff I don't want my Fiancee to know about (or when I know someone is going to require a signature).

    Right now the I9's are having some delays....so you might want to take that into consideration for when you finally do place that order.

    Plus like the OP's stated - you could have it delivered to your work addy! That way you don't have to worry about it being delivered to your home and her seeing it! Besides, us females, we don't snoop :nah: oh lulz....

    I'm still waiting and I ordered 9/12. Better get that order in now. Not much will change except they may offer colors by then. What good will that be if you can't possibly get delivery by Christmas though. Get her a white one and order a skin for it.

    If you want it in time for Christmas, lets see.....ummmmmmmm... about a month ago!
    They have some SERIOUS delays on most laptops at the moment (my laptop is expected to take 2 months from ordering to shipping!)
