I am looking to buy a new laptop and chose the Dell XPS 13 as the model I want to buy, and I want it with a Portuguese keyboard.

I live in Portugal. I went to the Dell Portugal and they list the XPS 13 there, but you cannot buy it from the website, only through retailers. The retailers put a markup of 15% to 25% on top of Dell's prices, and they only sell with 3 years of onsite warranty which I don't need. This means that the model I want to buy changes from 1200€ to 1800€, a 50% markup which I find unacceptable.

I have contacted the Dell Sales departments in Portugal, Spain and US through normal channels (phone, email, chat) with no acceptable reply -- Dell Portugal didn't even know that this model is sold here, Dell Spain refuses to change the keyboard and to ship to Portugal (even if I pay extra for the shipping and keyboard change), and Dell US only gives me the contact numbers for the former two.

I am writing here as last attempt to find a way to buy this amazing machine for a decent price. Is there a Dell rep here that can help me, or can you guys suggest me a way to get in touch with someone who will help me out? I don't think I should have to jump through so many hoops to pay above 1K euros for a laptop.

P.S. In case a Dell rep sees this, I would also like to highlight the extremely rude behavior of Silvia Stitou from Dell Sales Spain, which not only did not help me at all but also stopped the chat session abruptly while I was still asking more questions.

Since no-one seems to have any advice, can you at least point me to the Dell reps around this forum so that I can contact them directly?

    Thanks in advance!

Another option is to find someone trustworthy that you would trust and have them act as an intermediate between you and Dell.

I quickly took a look at the webpage for the Dell XPS 13, but cannot find the option to change the keyboard to a Portuguese one.

A link that might be of interest to you - http://euro.dell.com/pt/pt/corp/Portáteis/xps-13-linux/pd.aspx?refid=xps-13-linux&s=corp

Seems that they do carry the Linux version of it in Portugal for Dell. No Windows, but that's someone you can fix easily.
