    I really like looking at things before I buy them but for my next desktop it won't be for another 6 months or more and my next laptop for 2 years.. but I want to see what I might be getting anyway

    anyway to do this? Any good ideas of what would be sub-$1500 systems in the future?

    well i think what double black was trying to get at was...

    no one can really say what future technology is going to be because...its not available yet...ther emigiht be companies "working on stuff" but i doubt anyone has revealed anything because of the lack of proper evidence.

    and obviously the most recent technology is the santa rosa chipset and the new directx10 video cards. and obviously the prices are going to fall in the future (when? no one really knows)

    so thats why people are saying its a pointless thread. the answers are assumed/obvious and no one can really answer it (unless you were looking for the santa rosa/directx10 bit i said)

    lottdod another thing i read somehwere is sony (i think?) developed a paper thin screen that can play color video...it was on the news a couple weeks ago. when is this going to be released to the public? no one knows, how much is it going to cost? no one knows....i hope your getting my drift here

    Not really you got to pay for the webhost and the domain name them cost money, so in a sense they are not free! Oh and in liek 30 years all the "tech" now will be free so just hold on little buddy.
