At the time i had bought my i6000d i was misinformed by my buddy (fricken ijiot) that the i6000 had optical bay battery expansion, Well 1 month after i ordered my notebook and recieved it, i opened er up and alas, no power connection in the comp.

Its too bad too because, optical bay batteries allow so much more time unplugged .. I wish Dell would be smart and start designing inspirons with optical bay battery expansions on the board. If they did , i might order from them again. As it stands, im going to make the switch to ASUS. At least they know what people WANT. (not a dell bash, just a ASUS praise.)

Very true and you make a great point since it would really make life easier with even a longer battery. its interesting because my 8600 has that option but i never got that certian modular bay battery. What size of battery do you have now?
