I would just like to say how happy I am in buying a Vostro 1500

In looking into this laptop, there were so many things that worried me, the screen(too reflective with true life), the size(too heavy), a grainy screen, wobbly batteries, batteries that stick out too much. The list went on and on.

I decided to get one and I am very glad I did. It seems like all these problems were either overexaggerated or uncommon. This is the first laptop I've ever owned, and it amazes me. My desktop could barely play Battlefield 2 on the lowest requirements(it didn't even meet them...). But this beast can play it on all high settings. First time I've ever played a PC game not on all low.

I got the T7100, 8600GT, 2 GB RAM, Windows XP BTW

All for 1,100-1,200 Canadian. Beats every laptop I've seen in stores in price.

Also, thanks for those who helped me here. :)

I have to say that is true. If i have the money for a good gaming desktop, it would make my vostro feel like crap. BUT i don't, all my life i have been using integrated graphics or low end cards, which is sad.. but it made me appreciate my vostro more.

I just got my replacement today, and now I am VERY happy. :D

Even the people in my family who didn't notice the grain before saw the difference (and it is a big difference) once the two systems were put side by side. The new LG is perfect, there's absolutely no noticeable backlight bleed (I could only see it when I went in a room with no windows, shut off the lights, and put the backlight to the highest setting), The only 'bad' thing I noticed on the replacement is the battery wobbles like .5mm, but seriously, who gives a :p about something like that?

IssGonRain - I noticed you have XP, as I do, and I was wondering if you have keyboard lag. I think those who complained about it also have XP. If you do it's an easy fix (just don't call Dell). That was the only problem with mine, everything else is fine.
