I'm a, what you would call, "n00b" to laptops. I've been using two or three different desktops over the past 11 years and ordered a laptop earlier this month because I wanted a better PC than this piece of junk that I'm currently using.
I'm a computer bum. I'm on the computer all the time getting work done, managing documents, etc. I'm going to be using the laptop a WHOOOOOOOOOLE lot. Is there a chance it could overheat?
Any other quick tips are vastly appreciated.
Thanks,
Troy

I got my 1420 yesterday.
Decided to do a clean install.
But then what caught me by surprise is that after the whole installation process, the Drives & Utilities CD couldnt be read on my laptop due to CD being screwed.
So then I was left with downloading all the drivers online on a different computer and then burning a CD myself.
Now I just got it all fixed and under control, installed my own programs and such. Itsnt much faster than what I had before all the bloatware...
However, I was told by tech support, if you were to install the drivers, there was a certain order you must follow.
It goes like this:
1st - Install the System Utilities
2nd - Chipset (Intel)
then to your other drivers like graphics card, mouse, keyboard, audio etc etc
But since you admit to be not so good at working with comps, then you might as well leave it as it is.
Good luck \o
I'll be receiving my 1420 next week. Any tips?
