I'm finally in Boxing

Yes, the glorious day in which the automated dell message lady says something other than "build" came today. It took me by surprise for I had to hear that message for 35 days. Well I guess you can consider this "hope" for all the ruby red orders.

and yes I jumped up a bit and gave a fist pump when I heard "boxing". I had to replay the message just to make sure I wasn't hearing things.

 

Haha, I can just picture a random person fist pumping the air while on the phone. Time to update your sig I guess.

I Hope this is good news for my girlfriend since she bought a ruby red 1520 but on the 22nd which is quite some time after. But I think its going to be delayed again since its supposed to ship the 14th but its still in the build stage. The funny thing was its original ship date was the 7th and it got delayed only a week. So my thing is why didnt they just give her the 8/28 date instead of only delaying it another week when you know there not going to have the parts.

does anybody know how long boxing takes? I'm already yearning for shipping status.

 

Ordered my 1720 (specs in sig) on August 2nd and has been in the build stage since. Last nite it finally moved to the testing stage, and this morning it is finally in the boxing stage. The end is near! Can't really complain either, everything is right on schedule for my August 15th ship date.

 

Big congrats farelli! I've been pulling for you. I've been in boxing since Saturday (8/11) at about noon. Here's to hoping we have our laptops by the end of the week! I'll let you know as soon as I'm out of boxing either in this post or by a PM. Good luck!

P.S. I think I fist pumped about 50 times and knocked some stuff over jumping around the room when I heard boxing, so you're not alone .

Manalapan is a nice place. I had a couple college friends who graduated in 01 from the HS in Manalapan. I also attended college in jersey but a stop on the NJ transit down.

 

that's cool. I graduated from manalapan hs as well.

and yes, buckeye, grease trucks is definitely a plus. I didn't realize how well known it was.

We've got a knockoff at Ohio State. The guy who owns it (his name is Sammy, but I'm sure it's just a nick name as he's foreign) purports himself to be the brother of the owner of the grease trucks. PJ's (our knockoff) is nowhere near as good as the trucks though...

Computer Science Engineering. I love it! Big campus, and Columbus isn't always the cleanest place in the world, but it's great. How do you like Rutgers? My roomate always used to go to the s*utgers website, and laugh cause he knew a bunch of people on it.

 

Add my name to the boxing club...I absentmindedly called the CSR # and was just thinking how much I hate Dell's automated system (why is it "important information"? why would I need to "write it down"? and does dell really think it makes it more 'real' to have the voice stick in "OK" at the beginning?) when I suddenly heard build.

My only comment is that now I can't get Simon & Garfunkel's "The Boxer" out of my head.

 

I am just a poor boy with my story seldom told....

 

I'm not getting TOO excited to be told I'm in the boxing stage. Paul and Art, could you please sing to us about what Dell does to it's customers?
