    I need a bit of advice here.
    I've had Toshiba laptops forever. FOREVER!
    My favorite thing is the little finger point mouse in the middle of the keyboard. I just saw that Dell has that on some of the notebooks.

    I don't play games... (sorry)
    I do watch DVD's
    I do listen to music.
    I write, draw, and internet until I can't see anymore!

    Business laptop from Dell sounds good, but its got to have good memory and good screen.

    The pointing nub is also popular on the Lenovo Thinkpad line. So if you are in the market that's another option.

    If you want a nice affordable notebook, check out the new Vostro line.

    Edit: Not sure if the trackball are on Vostros.
