Purchased it back in June or so. Darn shame that they retired it. Hopefully they'll be rolling out a 1410 or something soon. I was glancing over their offerings and they really don't have much at all in the way of 14'' notebooks right now.

Dell's trying much to hard to compete with HP >.< Even their website redesign seems more difficult to use.

Oh well, I'm still eagerly awaiting the Netbook 910 release and an NBR review. Just thought I'd share that I'm glad I bought when I did ;)

I'm glad I bought my Vostro back in December when I got it for a steal (at the time). However, as soon as I can rack up the cash... CPU upgrade is in order!

...And it looks like you will be getting an extra year of warranty due to the GPU issue. That is... if you have an nvidia card.

^i would say thats a negative. Without the problem, your computer will probably last longer.

Im glad I bought my 1700 when I did (January-ish) because recently they stopped offering the 8600mGT and now only offer the 8400m. I am glad that I got everything I needed and wanted on my vostro, and don't have to worry about the faulty GPU issue ::knocks on wood::. Not only is it a great and stable notebook, but it is also built like a tank.
