    I'm having trouble identifying this Dell Inspiron.

    I hope I'm in the right area of the forum, as I couldn't find anything explicitly for this.

    I'm attempting to repair this dell inspiron, but the person who owns it was so irresponsible with it, that there's no identifying marks left on it. The only reason I even know it's an inspiron is that "INSP" is still readable on it.

    Here's what I know about it:

    2.0 ghz celeron processor
    256 MB of RAM
    40 gb hard drive

    The power cable is a small triangle with three pins.

    its an Inspiron 5100

    i used to own one 5 years ago, really heavy and it had terrible overheating issues.

    That was my sister-in-law's last laptop.

    That thing was a tank of a laptop. I've had to tear into a couple of these.
