    But as I understand it, Dell will be phasing out the Inspiron line in favor of the Studio. Am I right?

    I don't think so.
    The Inspiron is now the cheap, low cost line. Studio in the middle. And XPS at top.

    BTW, the direct link to ObjectDock (while I think is identical to Dell Dock) is http://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/

    But for the same configuration, Studio 15 is cheaper than Inspiron :confused:

    wow if the Studio is Dell's midrange line i'd hate to see what the next Inspiron refresh will look like. vacuum tubes?

    i agree, the xps line should have got the backlit keyboard, led screen options (which some countries have now) and other more high end perks compared to the studio line.
