So excited, not only is it my first ever laptop, but it's the most up to date computer I've ever owned (Current best pc in house has 1ghz proc, 128mb RAM, 18G hd + runs WinME).
It said less than 10 working days, so that's cutting it close for uni, but hopefully I'll be lucky. Delay was on the 6cell, so free upgrade to 9!

Can't wait to get it! What should I do when it comes? Any quality checks I need to do? Is there much bloat on it? What (free) software do you guys reccomend (especially burning software)???

    AAGGHHH!!!
    *head assplodes*

Has anyone in Ireland/UK/Europe got one yet? Do they come with any accessories (á la XPS - sleeve, remote etc?) The earbuds were an option so I know I won't get them.

^ Hella yeah - unboxing pics soon, right here!
I should've known I'd get those links - I usually post 'em myself, what I wanna know is is the reformat necessary? I know dell are putting less and less on these days - I might do it anyway just for the "clean" feel...

Cool! Get those pics up soon! ;) :p  ;)

I did the reformat on mine, when I received it..and I am glad I did...(It's up to you) ;) ..When I was done ~ I felt like I had *removed all the little gifts* Dell had put on my notebook, and that it was mine, *I owned it* ;) :)

And, it really a fairly easy process ;) :)

    Congrat's to you on your S15 purchase! ;) :)

    Cin ;) :)

Think I was one of the first owners here in Belgium (got it in the middle of july). To my surprise there was no backlit nor remote shipped with it :( and I wasn't able to add it online so I thought it would come for free like in the USA. I ordered an Inspiron 1525 back in april for my sister and they did add a remote with that one. The inspiron remote works really fine with the studio but does miss 3 or 4 buttons with the actual studio remote. I phoned dell to send me a studio remote but the 20 euro pricing was not worth it for me..
