    I've connected my Vostro 1500 to a TV, but there's a problem.

We got a Sony LCD 720p/120hz. I connected my laptop to it with a VGA cable and changed the properties so the image would display on the TV. I have one problem though, all the games run VERY slow. It will literally give me half the fps when playing anything that normally runs fine on my laptop...

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

huh... Most TV makers now a days really cripple the VGA input on the sets. You might want to try getting the Svideo to component/spdf adapter, and using that to hook up to your TV via component.

A cheap and quick way to test if it IS the TV, and not the laptop would be to try out the S-video port on the vostro, with a s-video cable to your TV. If thats also really dodgy(even at 480i) then it's obviously something wrong with the laptop.
