Just got an Inspiron 3520 w/ Windows 8 installed.

I've gone through various guides and techniques to disable adaptive brightness, but every few days it still comes back! It's driving me nuts... to the point where I want to return my laptop.

I've disabled it in Services.msc, I've disabled it in the Intel Graphics & Media and I've disabled it in my power settings. I don't know what else to do. There has to be something. I've heard of people simply disconnecting their cam/sensor.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    thanks
