I ordered mine thrsday (5/5), and it is currently sitting in boxing stage.

My first question is, do you think there is a chance it could arrive by friday?

Second, When you first get it, has dell loaded so much crap on it that you HAVE to reformatt it too make it as fast as you would like it to be.

Depends on your shipping selection and where you are in relation to where it's coming from, but I'd give you better than 50/50.

Yes, it comes with a lot of software. You don't need to reformat though, just remove the programs.

If you are fairly knowledgable in reformatting a hard drive and reinstalling windows, i would highly recommend reformatting it. True, you could just remove the programs individually, but many times this will not remove the necessary files from the system registry, which often times can bog down a computer.
