    I6400 and Fan

    I've noticed recently that the fan kicks in loudly (for few seconds) during startup. Is this normal? :confused:

    As far as I know, yes because the BIOS is still starting up, which controls the fans. A couple of my desktops do that but not my laptop.

    Thanks for replying. But this "problem" only started a couple of days ago. Should I update the BIOS?
