I just recently installed the I8KFan program and I'm loving it. I can easily comtrol the temps for my laptop. Every sensor comes up except for the HD temp. What settings do I need to change for the program to read my hard drive's temp?

Click Options then Status readings then click read hard drive temperatures.

The option is greyed out on my computer. Am I missing something?

I'm not sure as to why it's greyed out, have you clicked enabled autostart in the autostart section? Take a look at the user manual.

Autostart is enabled. I can read the temps on everything else, CPU, GPC, memory, and chipset. The only one it will not allow me to read is the HD.

My HD temp reads fine in vista. You might also try updating the BIOS, since the program reads the information from the BIOS. Or maybe your temperature sensor is just broken. See if HD Tune can read the temperature. If it can't either, then the problem isn't with I8kfangui.

It might be bios, since I had A07 the time I had vista. I have xp and since updated to A08.
