    hey guys,

I've just received my E1705 and installed the i8kfangui. The problem is my changes works for some time and later it back to the previous state (with the fans off)

The other question is about reformatting. I get a BSOD when reisntalling Windows XP. I'm using a own win xp disc.

    Thanks

Not sure about the i8kfangui problem.

What version of XP is the disc? How are you booting from the disc -- just selecting the reformat option while in XP or are you completely rebooting and going through the 1 time boot menu? What does the BSOD say?

My disc is Windows XP Professional. I always use that to install the SO in my desktops.

I'm completely rebooting and going through the 1 time boot menu.

I don't know what it says. Next time i'll note.

I had that problem too with i8kfangui before I reformated windows. When I change the fan speed to low for both CPU and GPU after few minutes it turn them off for some reason, it usually do that when I set them to HIGH then the BIOS lowers the fan speed to either off or low, it's a beta version though so it might be a bug or something,, I don't have this problem anymore after reformat.

for i8kfan, you need to enable autostart, and you need to disable(uncheck) hardware sensor support

hardware sensor support is unchecked by deafault..
If you change operating mode to manual, change the fans' speed to low, restart the computer, it will autostart, manual control is checked, but low fan speed will be unchecked, you have to check it everytime you start the computer which's annoying. Even if the Auto start option is checked...

It's the Beta version download and not the offical website. What i mean is the official website doesnt have the i8kfangui anymore.
