    I8kfangui no GPU sensor.

    Does does any one know how to make the GPU sensor work with I8kfangui? I have looked at several sites and postings. It appears this is not just exclusive to me. How have those of you fixed it on an E1705 7900 GS bios A02? It is not critical but I was trying to see what the video card temperature is. With Dell software there is no temperature in the nvidia settings. It would be nice also to have it in the same location with the processor.

    Thats strange so when you run I8kfangui it doesn't show any gpu temps? I'm currently using it and I did'nt have to do any thing to get it to work for me. My bios is AO2 also I have removed Dells video drivers and downloaded drivers directly from nvidia.

    Yes that is why I am asking everyone else seems to be doing ok with it also. There are a few with my problem but I am not sure what the problem is. No one has given any answers to this problem that I have found. :confused:

    I8kFanGUI->Options -> Status Reading

    make sure "read gpu temperature" checkbox is checked.

    What is a good benchmark that is not synthetic. Like a game but works on well on both ATI and Nvidia to get an idea how ATI vs. Nvidia play FPS? I have not had time to game lately and just wanted to see which might be better.

    I have F.E.A.R. so should I just try the test for the settings? I have been very upset on the desktops I have tried to play it on. This should be interesting to see how it does on these two Laptops!!! I have been only able to get the medium setting on my desktops. I will try it and let you know. :D

    These two computers are for different things but it was interesting. I got ATI to go about 54fps 1024x1768 with most settings high AA AF lowest setting. Nvidia 1024x768 All settings high 74fps. No shadowing on ATI no soft shadowing on Nvidia. So there seems to be a large difference but atleast the light more portable can play most games just not in high settings. The Dell though has now been relagated to GAMES excellent to bad I can't find a
    T7600 to put in it. This is unbelievable though a notebook better at playing games than a dual processor (but with AGP graphics) workstation.
