    Hi all,

Just got my 9300 with Geforce Go 6800.
My question is this, after updating the drivers and installing the Coolbits add-on, oc'd to 362mhz GPU and 734 mhz GRAM, my laptop runs quite hot mainly around the grills for the ram. Nowhere else does it get hot, not even the exhaust from the fans gets hot.

Is this normal or could there be something wrong?
Your advice would be greatly appreciated!

btw i got this laptop on the recommendations of this forum and im very happy with the purchase! thanks to all!

Why overclock if you don't need it?

If I remember correctly the rams are not cooled on the 9300 and might be just running hot due to the OC.

You might also want to open it up and apply arctic silver to make things more efficient. Warranty voider!

overclocking is only good for benchmarks...not quality or performance...u see better quality and performance by keeping stock settings and updating ur graphics drivers :) :)

Its normal for the ram area to get hot on the 9300. Since there is no fan and ventilation isn't the best in this area, you will notice the ram area to be hotter than the rest of the notebook.

I have the exact same problem, and have yet to find a good solution.
