I'm condidering a home theatre using S/PDIF audio and on page 36 and 39 of the I9300 manual I see a "TV/Digital Audio adapter cable" from the 7-pin Inspiron S-Video output connecter on the back that splits it into 3 components 1) S-Video 4-pin, 2) composite video, and 3) a S/PDIF digital audio connecter.
I just cannot find this adapter on Dell's website, or anywhere else. Can anyone provide links to such adapter at Dell, and anywhere else?
Has anyone connected their I9300's to S/PDIF inputs and comment?
Would the S/PDIF output connecter (3) be what is known as "Black RCA"?

Not sure if this'll help you, but I received that module with my 9400... even though I didn't order it. It is entirely possible that it is part of the Media Centre Remote Control that I did order (part F6652). I can't comment on it, however, as I don't have any equipment with S/PDIF input to test it.
I'm not sure what "Black RCA" is, but it is a typical RCA connector, in that a normal RCA cable will fit (but not recommended, because it's a digital signal).
As for availability, I notice it is a (free) option for the M90. The label on mine is "044CTV / 070TVD" -
