although it is to late for me to change my order (arrives monday). I was wondering about the UXGA screen with true life. this is the screen i ordered because i like the glossy screen and high resolution. All the reviews i hear are about the XGA+ screen and the only thing i hear about the UXGA screen is bad light leakage and "sparkle" effect. It seems to me that most of the problems with screens happen to the LG screens, which seem to be on the older 9300's. so iam wondering if the light leakage and "sparkle" effect are that noticable and if you bought a 9300 in the last few months, what screen manufacturer made your screen?

I can't answer your question, but for the exact reasons you specified I went with the XGA+. I don't like running a laptop screen at those resolutions anyway, even when gaming, so it sounded like the xga+ would look better for me anyway. Sounds like all of the sparkle effect garbage happen from running at a non-native resolution. My computer is on the way to me now, hopefully I chose wisely!
