I've heard that it's grainy, is the glossy screen worth the risk?? Or should i just stick with the XGA regular truelife display???
How many ppl have had a problem with the graininess of 1520??

people have been complaining about all of dells glossy screens aka truelife. the graininess seems to come from the glossy coating on the screens. therefore, getting the wxga non-glossy will "solve" that issue. although the screens aren't really as bad as most people make it sound. many people have admitted that if they weren't aware that their screen could be grainy they wouldn't have noticed.

....however people with both the matte and glossy wxga screens aren't having problems from what has been posted on this forum. It's just the wxga+ and the wsxga.

I have a glossy one and there is no problems!

I have the 1400x900

Okay thanks! It's good to know that some people aren't noticing any problems with that screen. It seems like whenever I come on this board that's all I hear.

my 1440x900 screen is beautiful. no graininess or anything that i can see.

Some people whine too much, and fickle people follow. That's really the gist of it.
