Sorry to ask the question, but I can't find a thread on this elsewhere.

Other than taking Dell at their word (that it's a WLED screen), is there a way of finding out what type of screen I have been provided on this lovely new M1330?

It makes me sad that people will spend hundreds more for a screen and cant even tell if it is the expensive or cheap one...

    @ cliegal

    Thanks :)

Well, I took advice from experts (here and elsewhere), as I'm not one. It's certainly a very nice screen, but I just wanted to double-check.

But it's a good point, well made.

The WLED backlit display is thinner than the displays with the CCFL backlight.

I believe that it is also brighter.
