Don't know if i'm posting in the write section of the forums but heres my problem.

I have a Vostro 1500 .. and when i am not using the actual battery ( not plugged into the electric sockets ) when i idle and not do anything for example, listening to my professor.. the screens turns off.. and usually it takes a simple touch on the touch pad and it will turn it back on... but recently i've gotten the problem where nothing will turn back on... touching the touchpad, typing on keyboard, hitting enter, nothing works. I have to hit the power button, turn the laptop off and returnit back on. Is this right ? help pLX

The part about the screen turning itself off and then turning back on when you touch the touchpad sounds okay to me. But the other part doesn't. Try calling Dell tech support.
