    So yeah,

When I go back to Canada, I'm gonna ask Dell to send me replacement for my m1330, since my graphics card/screen is messed. But I thought I saw somewhere that Dell doesnt ship LED screens to Canada anymore. True? Or am I imagining things?

I hope it isnt, cause I paid extra $150 for the option, and I really want LED screen...

    Thanks

if worst comes to worst, just accept the standard screen, then get a techy to come round and fit the LED screen to the new laptop!

And ask for some compensation for all this hassle...free upgrade to 3-years next business day on-site warranty sounds good me thinks!

or if you are forced to get the standard screen, make sure they put the best on in, and get your 150 bucks back

When i requested my replacement LED screens were no longer available in Canada. But dell still sent me one with an LED screen. Just because they don't offer that option, doesn't mean they don't have any. And if they have some then saying, "this is so frustrating" enough times, will get you free warranty and an LED screen :p. Just don't be mean to the person on the phone.

I have an m1330 with the LED screen that is being exchanged. The managed I dealt with said that there may be a delay.

I noticed Dell stopped offering the LED screen on dell.ca, what's the reason for this? (I had planned on getting a M1330 with the LED screen).

I received and exchange today, the original had a LED screen which went opaque. The new system has a LED screen and, as a matter of fact, its the best LED screen I have seen yet. Its still the Chei Mei. There is no bleeding whatsoever and no buckling.

Im told the lack of screens is not a Canada specific thing but an international decision Dell makes because of the international shortage of LCD/LED components. They will be back my guess is as they have been stopped then restarted in other countries in the past.

    So wait,

You got LED replacement? Thats good to know! Thanks. How long did it take to receive replacement? I only have a 2 week window before I return back to school for the new year (Dec.17-Jan.2).

I would think they have to give you an LED replacement.. else you could probably take them to court or something... don't settle for just $150 bucks.. say you bought the notebook for the LED screen and ask for damages or something :S

They have plenty of supply put aside for things like this. For instance, Sandisk SSD hasnt been available for a month or two, but the replacement system still comes with the Sandisk 32Gb.

I was hoping for an upgrade lol.
