If I format to install Media Direct 3, can I restore an OS partition?

Basically, I have 3 Partitions right now.

    C: OS - 15 gigs
    M: Music - 15 gigs
    E: Everything Else - ~70gigs

I will need to format to install MD3, and want to take the 2 gigs I need from the second partition. This leaves 4 total. Since I Ghosted my OS partition, can I just restore it to the new one?

I also just copied M and E to folders since I don't need a ghost really. Will this all work?
