What process does Dell usually use?

Like others, my vertical viewing angle is not good. Very grey down at the bottom when the top is good. Dark at the top when the bottom is good. Can't find a healthy medium.

Would I be looking at having an entirely new laptop made and shipped and going through that whole process again or would it involve me shipping this laptop to a location within the states to replace the LCD?

Would I have to ship my laptop in before they begin building the new one?

Kind of concerned, my hands are grey grey grey in oblivion :(
