    There must be a lot of people who were not too happy with their Studio 15 and 17 notebooks. The Dell Outlet has an enormous inventory of the 15 and 17. I have never seen so many of a product that was just recently released.
    Over 20 pages of the 17 and even more of the 15.

    If you need one fast and at a good price this would be the place to go!!

    It's the back to school crown. They simply cancelled and went elsewhere due to the delays and driver issues. A lot of the machines are tagged as previously ordered new.

    Maybe Dell will do something about these delays now that people are cancelling in larger and larger quantities due to them.

    I saw this yesterday. Most of them aren't even refurbs, either. The majority seem to be new.

    If I didn't just buy a computer, I'd seriously consider one of these. The prices are ridiculous.

    Actually I had the Studio 17 with the dedicated video and sent it back before the 20 days because I couldnt decide if I wanted to keep it and didnt want to take a chance. The notebook itself was perfect no problems........
    Problem is I already have an Applebook Pro 17", Fujitsu 3010, IBM T-43P and Toshiba 5205 (listed on Ebay) so I was trying to be good and send the Studio 17 back. Now that I am seeing the prices it tempts me again to be bad.......

    Very very very tempting....I'm still looking at the S15 in the Orange..and keep closing out the browser...before.......I order...LOL ;) :)

    I got an e-mail when they started offering Studio notebooks and I just had to get one. I got the one in my config for $839. It is a bit harder to find an LED screen version if you are looking for one since it is not a selectable filter.

    Found a black Studio 17 with dedicated video card/lighted keyboard/fingerprint scanner for 769.00. Only problem mentioned here before you cant tell if it is the LED type screen.

    It will say LED in the screen type. I just wish there were a way to filter out the screens, you have to do it manually.

    You have to look at the details. Regular CCFLs say this:

    Laptop Screen
    15.4 WXGA Laptop Screen Display with TrueLife

    LED screens are this

    Laptop Screen
    15.4 inch WXGA+ LED Laptop Screen with TrueLife

    It isn't fun to do it this way, but it is the only way possible. You could call, they might have a better search. The ones that I found to have a high probability of LED screen are 3+GB RAM and ATI dedicated graphics. They are usually in the $800+ range.

    yeah its a pain having to click through each description when you want an LED screen. i was just click, scroll, close for like 6 mins till i finally found one with LED. todays the last dfay to use the one time coupons so use them if u got them and if you don't want them ....... PM me one lol

    What color did you get??? the plain jet black, actually i ordered this thing for a friend.
    i saw studio 15 display unit on bestbuy, looks pretty cool, chic,
    girls gonna love dell now with those colorful covers.

    about my forum name, it just comes out of frustration of calling dell for replacements after getting refurbished lemons half of time.
