Don't pass this feature up. I have a new inspiron 1520 with the dell wireless G adapter and it takes FOREVER to get on my wireless network when booting up or coming back from sleep mode.

With my m1530 if I open the top and log in by swiping my finger I am ALREADY connected and online! It is SO MUCH BETTER! I can go from being in sleep mode to on the internet in under 10 seconds rather than a minute.
