Dont let Dell collect your laptop to fix, no matter what they tell you about it not being fixable onsite.. :(

They collected mine 3 weeks ago, have only just accepted that they have lost it and will have to build me a new one.. Which is going to take 2 weeks

Plus side is I am apparently 'almost certain' to get a core 2 duo chip in place of my core duo, which is nice.. But all things considered, the stress ive been through trying to get an answer out of the support people is not worth the upgrade (if it does happen).. Every day I rang I was told they wouldnt have an answer till tomorrow (for a week straight on a daily basis, i kid you not).

So the motto of the story, stick to your guns, even if, as I did, you believe them when they say they cant fix it onsite.
