I want to improve the performance of my D620 and thinking about increasing its memory by a 1GB to 2GB. Where can i get memory for it and how easy is it to install? Does it improve performance much?

The first thing I'd do in unistall all of Dell's bloatware...i.e. do a clean intall of vista without all their junk. After that... then put some more memory in. Otherwise you're wasting your money.

    Get it from newegg.com
It is very easy to install. Just unscrew a couple of screws, and pop in the ram. Takes 10 seconds to do so.

Newegg. I think the D620 uses a 533MHz, 200-pin SODIMM. Double check though! This is based on the 620 I bought last year.
