I just called that 1-800 number to check the status of my order and it says that it is in the boxing phase; however, my PayPal account says that the payment is still pending. The charge has not been processed.
Does the charge typically occur after the system is built? I am sort of anxious for the charge to be authorized because I'm worried about my credit limits.
I ordered my XSP M1530 yesterday afternoon, so I'm pleased with the progress. Hopefully the boxing stage rolls quickly.

I am not sure when the charge occurs but Dell must be satisfied that you have paid or can pay because I doubt they would have started construction of the device if you couldn't supply the funds.
-
I'm pretty sure they charge you when it ships.
-
I ordered on 1/12. In production from 1/14-1/25. Shipped on 1/25 and still not charged yet on my credit card.
-
This just happened to me. I could actually see the charge on my bank account online. it completely disapeared for about a week and reapeared last night, i think today mine is going to delivered.
-
There are several instance of the system being received but the charge not being incurred yet; they still have the amount held though.
-
The amount wasnt charged in my case but it had been authorised, what it meant was that my limit had been frozen but actual money transfer was yet to take place.
-
Excellent. As long as my credit limit is restricted so that the payment will go through, I'm fine with that.
They shipped that theft protection thing today, but the computer is still in the boxing phase. I wish it would hurry! I've never been good at waiting.Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015
