I have a Dell laptop (dont know what model) and i want to play games on it that heavily rely on the f1-f12 keys now my laptop has the f1-f12 keys in blue (meaning everytime i want to use them i always have to press it along with the fn key and i dont personally like doing that)

Is there anyway to disable it so i can use my f1-f12 keys normally?

Also i read online that it might be something about a number lock? but i dont have that on my laptop keyboard.

    Thanks!

Your BIOS should have a setting for it.

On my model, you can change this in Windows Mobility Centre, via clicking on the battery -> More Power Options -> See also Windows Mobility Centre -> Function Key Row.

The volume, screen brightness etc functions are still available, by holding the Fn key.

A quick way of getting to the windows mobility centre is by pressing windows key + X

I find using the windows mobility centre a better option, as you can change the setting on the fly; but it will remember what you had it set to last time, so if you turn off your machine and back on, it will still be in the same "mode".
