I'm wanting to buy a laptop but I'm torn between two. When I customize both laptops the way I want them they both are the same with a little alterations in price. Which is the better quality computer?
Dell XPS 1330 or Sony Vaio sz 640

I can't say anything about quality but dell warranty can't be matched by sony warranty. Specially dell complete care.

If you're into hard-core gaming, go for the XPS.

    Hard-core gaming with the XPS?

It only has the 8400m GS..which isn't that great compared to the 8600m GT.

I'm pretty sure Gunner means the XPS M1710 and also the M1730 which is not out yet. Now these are gamer laptops :D

If you want to order dell think about it, delay times are still a big problem, i dont know about sony but dell is slow.

By the way, i had the same question, and i ordered the 1330, i think dell is more flexible in upgrades, but in a laptop its hard to say
