This is in reference to my posting about PCMservices.exe being responsible for keyboard (typing) lag. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=164066

I just got some info on PCMservices from Cyberlink. They say "Please note that PCMService.exe is for remote control."

That explains why MediaDirect works just fine with PCMservices disabled.

So if it is disabled, will the Dell IR remote work the laptop in Media Direct?

My guess would be no. I don't have/need remote control on mine, so I can't test it. If you want to try it, you can do an End Process on PCMservices in the task manger window (CTL/ALT/DELETE) Processes tab. I still don't understand why most of you don't have typing lag with PCMservices running
