So here is how I have read the Dell terms.
I am looking at getting a Studio 17 or a Studio XPS, both have the 12 month no payments, no interest. I was approved for 4 grand so everything will fit into my budget.
I also noticed, while reading the terms, that anything else purchased while purcahsing a qualifying product, will also be on the no payment/interest for a year.
Has anyone else read this or has anyone purchased this way yet?
I would just like more info and every time I call, I get an accent and cannot get anywhere.

Hey!
Usually it's that *specified" product your purchasing that is covered under the *XX Month Interest Free* promo.
If you do however, purchase something else, and it's on a *interest free promo* they will let you know at check out, quotation, or on your next billing statement. Usually, you will see it on systems, accessories (TV's), higher *priced* items!
Current promo's are also listed under your Account Information; and on the main page under Financing
The one important thing to remember with these *promos* is to have your purchase paid off well w/in the allotted time..Because on the following day of promo expiring, if you do not have your purchase paid off...They will *smack you hard* with *that accrued interest fees*
Hope that helps!

Yeh, thanks for the reply.
I plan on having everything payed off no later than March of next year so I guess I just sti back, pay nothing, then pay it all off at once.
Here is is what it says at Dell under the financing on no payments on an XPS when you click on "more details"
Offer Details
"New XPS or Studio XPS Desktops or Laptops are eligible!
Pay your plan balance in full by November, 2010 and you'll pay no interest at all.
All additional products in your cart at the time you purchase a New XPS and Studio XPS Desktop or Laptop will also qualify for the No Interest if paid in full within 12 Months promotion."
...so I assumed that even though it did not say 12 months no payments/interest with PS3's, that if you bought one at the time you also bought a qualifying product, you would be given no payments on the PS3 also. -
fwiw, I just bought an XPS 16 using this plan, and it's no interest for 12 months, not no payments for 12 months.
You have to pay $15 or 3% (whichever is higher) of the balance every month ($50 for a $1500 laptop). I don't know how strict they are on the terms, but technically, if you're late on a payment, you lose the promotion and are charged interest immediately. Also, as they explained it to me, if you don't pay it off in 12 months, you're charged interest for those 12 months. It doesn't just start accruing interest after 12 months.
Info on the Dell no payments for 12 months?
