    Hey everyone,

For the people curious about the innards of your 1520 system here's a pic. I got the itch and just had to dismantle my entire system.

    Enjoy

I half expected it to be a pic of an enraged customer who waited too long for his laptop and went to a dell factory and took a sledgehammer to all the 1520's.

    LOL cool stuff..

Look at the guide in my signature.. pictures of how to take the machine apart.

The GPU is the big shiny block of steel to the top right.

lmfao, that's not the CPU, that's the chipset...

The processor is in the middle of the four screws by that purple piece of plastic.

    I have couple of questions:
    - Is CPU is plugable?
    - What are the type of SuperIO chip on board (Winbond, ITE, etc.)?
    - What ate the type of BIOS flash?
