Hello i am planning to replace my currect screen in inspiron 6400 because the old one is broken, i wanted to know if any 15.4 screen ordered from ebay will fit and do it's job?

Not any, but most Dells from the same era will work. You do have to check and see if the LCD cable is different. It sometimes is with different resolutions. If you know the part number off of the screen, I might be able to look it up for you.

The Inspiron 6400 is the Intel-Based version of the 1501/1505, and shares the same display issues.
You must replace the LCD w/ a Dell-Compatible Part# (Must have Inverter Attached to LCD, basically.) otherwise the unit will get bad/no video due to wiring differences between the Dell-Specific LVDS Port and the industry-standard pinout for the LVDS Port. -
Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
To be safe you should use an LCD specifically designated for the 6400, E1505, or 1501, but other LCDs designated for 15" Dells may work. Like I'm pretty sure an Inspiron 6000 or Latitude D800 screen will work, but ultimately, the pricing on all these displays are so similar, there's no reason not to play it safe.
Insipron 6400 every LCD screen fits?
