I've just tried accessing my Transcend 150x SD Card (4GB) on my trusty 9300 but it would appear that this is not currently supported :(

Do any of you know if my built in SD Card reader can support this SD card with a driver update etc?

I use this card for my hacked Mio C310x and was just trying to transfer some converted movies (the card works fine in a coworkers laptop - Fujitsu) but the 9300 is telling me the card needs to be formatted and is showing up as a 9xxMB card...

I have heard that the card readers on the inspirons and some other laptops only support up to 2gig SD cards.

Is it a standard SD card or a High Capacity SD (SDHC) card ? SDHC is relatively new, therefore most card readers don’t read them (that could explain it). I use an ADATA 150x 4GB card with my M1210. And I think DELL is putting the same 5 in 1 memory card reader in all their notebooks. Therefore yours should work (if standard SD).

Make sure the latest Ricoh card reader drivers installed.

This is a standard SD card - or at least I believe that it is - it's the largest one you can use in the Mio GPS unit.

My Dell reads my 2GB cards no problem as well...
