    I know that in the Lenovo and Compal threads, there have been fairly substantial shipping delays, but I was wondering how Dell's shipping targets have been performing. If a Vostro says it will ship on Aug 8th, is there like a 70% chance that will happen?

    I'm not sure about Vostro, but my inspiron 1420 said it would August 13 but actually shipped today (I ordered on the 10th). And dell seems to overestimate shipping dates so I think it's likely it will ship on or before the 8th.

    If a Vostro says it will ship Aug 8th, there's a 100% chance it will ship on or before then...and a 70% chance it will ship before then ;)
