    Hello,

I would just like to know if some of you have some feedbacks or have experienced playing World of Warcraft with a laptop like an Inspiron 14 or something like that? And if yes, how does it works? Do you think (or know!) it is possible to play WoW with good graphics, no lag (in overall, having a good playing experience) with the following tech specs (as for Dell's Inspiron 14) :

    Processor: Intel® Pentium™ Dual Core T4300 (2.1GHz/800Mhz FSB/1MB cache)
Operating System: Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
LCD Panel: 14.0” High Definition (720p) LED Display with TrueLife™
Memory: 4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 at 800MHz
Hard Drive: 500GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)
Video Card: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
CD ROM/DVD ROM: 8X CD/DVD Burner (Dual Layer DVD+/-R Drive)

    ...And the processor should work better with this, probably : Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T6600 (2.2GHz/800Mhz FSB/2MB cache) !?

Anyway, I know it is not a gaming computer, but do you know if it's possible? Or would a Studio/Studio XPS be better? Depending on what? I think these technical specs are good with WoW's "recommended specifications" ; except for the video card that I'm not sure.

I don't really know a lot about this, so I hope you guys will be able to help me! Thanks!

WoW is mostly CPU dependent, so the better the CPU you get, the smoother gameplay will be at a certain setting.

Only thing stopping you from attaining a high FPS is the graphics card.

If you fill out the hardware FAQ, and send me a PM with the link I'll be able to help u

I have a HP 6730B laptop with a P8600 (duo 2.4mhz) 2GB of ram and the same onboard video as you do but i'm running XP.
I run WOW in 1680x1050 (native res) with all the settings turned down and I only get 20FPS in desolate towns and leveling by myself. I only recently logged back on with a 7 day trial and havent gone to any cities/raids. Both CPU's are always pinned at 100% usage if that matters. To me the gameplay is very enjoyable since its an upgrade to my desktop.

It looks a lot better than my desktop which the resolution is lower but I can turn the settings up about 1/3 or so. Desktop is a P4 2.8 with a NVideo FX5600 256MB, 1gig of ram, using a standard VGA monitor.

In my opinion you are cutting it close as your CPU's are less than mine and I hear that windows 7 uses up more ram so you might not be getting too much of a benefit from the extra 2 gigs.

Oh i also have a 7200rpm hard drive but i dont think that matters at all.

What do you mean by "filling out the hardware FAQ" ? ...And I think I can't send private messages, I don't know why it says it's not enabled !? Anyway, I don't know if it can help, but here are a few links to some information about the video card and WoW requirements :

    Mobile Intel® GM45 Express Chipset Overview : http://www.intel.com/products/notebook/chipsets/gm45/gm45-overview.htm

WoW Video Card information : http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=21085&rhtml=true

Don't know if it can help... if not, just tell me what should I look for! :)

And @madmaniac : Thank you for the precisions dude! :)
