I've had three different copies of the Inspiron 11 i3137-3751sLV, and they all have had a problem with internal screws loosening up over time. The first screws to loosen up are inside the hinge/LCD wire cover, holding the hinges to the LCD frame (not the ones holding the hinges to the base). The mainboard and auxiliary PCB screws also loosen up, but are slower to fall out.

Vibration and jarring impacts will accelerate the screws loosening and detaching, but I believe given enough time it will happen with almost any use that involves moving the laptop around. Loose mainboard/PCB screws can (and did, in my case) destroy the mainboard, so this is a serious problem. Don't ignore a rattle!

No thread lock was used on the internal screws in the factory; the PCB and hinge screws in particular are loosening up. There may be a torque issue from the factory as well. I've fixed mine by applying thread lock to the screws and using sufficient torque when reinstalling them.

I'm curious if this affects other Inspiron 11 3000 submodels, or just the i3137-3751sLV. Has anyone else run into this issue?
