This has been a good computer and today with charged battery and unplugging the charger, pressing the start button causes the two outside lights to flash but no start. Plugging in the charger and pressing the start button the lights don't flash. I'm hoping someone recognizes this symptom and can offer a fix. Many thanks for any assistance. .....Dave

Unplug the laptop, remove the battery, press the power button several times for 10-15 seconds, plug in without inserting the battery and test.
Other thing work checking is whether HDD is being detected in BIOS.
Also try booting from the DVD drive.

Removed the battery overnight and this morning pressed the start button for 30 seconds, re-connected the charger.
Pressed the start button and the two outer lights flashed and no noise was heard and nothing on the screen.
Thought the two outer lights flashing once would mean something to a tech. Any help would appreciated.
The laptop has always operated and switched on and off perfectly, would be too bad to have to sell it as parts.
    Many thanks .....Dave

Maybe I'm in the wrong forum, can anyone suggest another forum to ask this question.
    Many thanks,
