    I think it's one of their best made Inspiron units, so you shouldn't worry too much about quality control issues.

    I agree with Brian. It's one of the better notebooks, especially for a budget price.

    Is the optical drive on this laptop swappable?
    The zdnet reviews say that the drive is fixed and only upgradable at the factory.

    I spoke with Dell technical service and was told that the drive is swappable.

    Can anyone confirm this?
