I have a 1210 / Mini 12 when booting it just stops after Realtek Ethernet Controller Loads and says "Operating System Not Found"

So I tried to reinstall Windows and its not working.

When trying to reinstall windows under the "Where do you want to install Windows?" screen it shows Disk 0 Unalloated Space 51.9Gb. At the very bottom of that same screen it says "This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."

When selecting that drive to install on, it says "Windows is unable to find a system volume that meets its criteria for installation"

If I go to "Drive options (advanced) and select "New" and set the drive allocation, it says "Failed to create a new partition on the selected unused space. [Error: 0x80042453]

So I think it has a bad drive, does this sound right?

I am not familiar with the Mini 12, but does the BIOS have options for AHCI boot? It seems like it might be a bad drive.

I don't see "AHCI" any where in the BIOS, on the "Boot" tab it has in this order, Hard Drive, USB Storage, CD/DVD/CD-RW, Removable Drive and Network.

It must only have one setting then I am guessing. Then I would agree with your previous point that it sounds like the hard drive is dead.
