My son is in his last year of college and his Inspiron 13 battery seems to be going out as it doesn't hold a charge for very long.
Any advice on what replacement battery we should buy? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance.

To get this information you need to log on to support, enter your model number and most importantly Enter your Service Tag Number.
That will open all the hardware information on your Particular notebook, You should download and read your Service Manual there you will find out how to open your notebook
you should be able to find replacement batteries Amazon, Newegg, eBay, Dell would be my preference as you know what you're getting. -
Just look up your model number in system information and goto amazon and order a battery using that model number. I did that and my battery arrived a week later. My original dell started crapping out about a year and a half after heavy usage. this one is going on 6 months now and I still get 8 hrs of on screen time. Better than the original. I wonder if they had a bad run of batteries.

However, the battery has now completed crapped out and dell wants $110 for the replacement. Any other advice or just choose wisely if I buy from Amazon? Thank you in advance. -
I will get back to you on the place I bought mine. It works better than the original actually. Holds more charge even when the original was new.

The battery I purchased was the ZTHY battery. See if there is one for your dell with that labeling on it. Worked great for me.

Thank you kojack! I appreciate the information and will give that brand a try.

How did it work out for you? my battery is going strong. It's actually working much better than the original dell did.
