Okay guys. I was at work when customer service handed me an Inspiron 13. I was like "what the hell is this thing?" when I noticed the Dell logo. The Inspiron 13! I only got to play around with it a bit, but here's what I thought of it (snapped some pics on my phone too).

    The look:
My first impressions were quite good - mostly gloss black, nice shine. Looked pretty good and solid. I was especially fond of the navy-blue cover, and the gloss that paired it.

    The feel:
Somewhat good. It felt kinda cheap, though. Like, to a point, the edges were somewhat rough, not sleek like the XPS or Studio, but it was an Inspiron so it met my standards. Overall, the computer felt pretty solid though and was very nice for a 13" laptop.

    The trackpad:
Very nice, better improvement over my XPS as my fingers like to stick on this trackpad. My finger seemed to glide along it like it somewhat greased or something (gross, but you know what I'm talking about).

    The keyboard:
    Nice. I'd say 8/10 overall.

The other: It's also adopted the slim-line CD-rom (I forget the name... wow)

    The weight and size:
It's somewhat 'overweight', so to say. It's also somewhat thick for a laptop, about an inch or so. You can see in reference to my hand (I'd say each finger is 3 inches long or so). Also, the positioning of the extra-cell battery (9? I don't know) sticks out the back so it's a very weird position, but it still adds a nice incline to the computer

    The hinges:
Adopting the XPS/Studio style. The hinges feel very nice and sturdy. I like them

Well, that's all I can really say about this as I only have a few moments to play around with it before I had to restore it so it could be for sale again. Feel free to comment :) Thanks for your time!

Mine should be coming in soon...If I'm bored, I may do a mini review (I have the Best Buy model with the T5750, 3 gigs ram, 250 gig hdd and 9 cell.

But...the review on here pretty much nails it on the head

although reviews here are great, it's always good to have seconds thirds and fourths (¿?) opinions.

mine is on the way as well! : D

^^Yea I bought the best buy special and i have to agree the 9 cell is ugly, uncomforable, heavy etc

but i must say in terms of battery life it cant be beaten. I love being able to use my laptop all day and not have to worry about charging it.

Truely I could not be happier with this machine only thing i wish is to find the piece for the bluetooth since mine did not come with it

How is the display? please comment on it. Is it sharp? How are the colors and the contrast? Can you post some pictures of it?
