    Hi,

I have an Inspiron 1300 (ordered in Ireland) with a Broadcom 440x 10/100 integrated controller as a wireless adapter.

I can connect to my Linksys wireless router WRT54G in unsecured mode and in WEP mode, but when I changed to WPA mode, I couldn't connect to the wireless network. In Windows XP, I was told continously "waiting for network to respond".

Can I assume that my 1300 doesn't have WPA support, or is there something else wrong?

    Eoin

    Thanks for the help.

I was able to connect after installing the WPA updates for XP SP2. I would have thought that this would have been automatically updated :/
