Do these laptops have the headphone noise issue the 1520 has?

Vostro 1400 here, and yes definitely some interference noise.

Can only hear it when nothing is playing or there's a quiet song on. Very irritating, so you wouldn't want to have your headphones on unless you have music on the entire time to block it out.

I have a 1420 and can't hear any noise or interference through the speakers or the headphones.

Edit: I have the built-in sound, not the sound card add-on that's now available.

Admittedly my hearing is not what it used to be, but I did try this and there was only the slightest amount of hiss or crackling in the background, barely detectable.

No noise on mine. No complaints about the screen either. Just that my \ key is already going bad, so I'll have to ask to replace the keyboard at some point.

only on my speakers that are powered by the AC...i think its a grounding problem...that is that the vostro/inspiron AC adapters dont have grounding pins?
